Sales Agreement Policies


To cancel your reservation you must give us written notice at least seven days prior to the date of the reservation by email or a fax to our Group Sales Manager. You will be given a cancellation number to confirm that the reservation was cancelled. When adverse weather conditions affect travel in our area, we may elect to waive the advanced notice requirements and cancellation penalties.


If the reservation is cancelled with less than seven days advance notice, the person who guaranteed the reservation will be responsible for paying 50% of the total guaranteed meal cost or a minimum charge of $200.00, whichever is greater. A credit card will be required to guarantee the reservation. 

During Maifest/Pella week and Oktoberfest groups will be required to pay a $200 deposit when making their reservation.  In the event of cancellation, the entire deposit will be forfeited.  Private room charges are also non-refundable.



  • Guaranteed Number of Guests:  We will charge for the guaranteed number of guests or the actual number; whichever is greater.  
  • Guest Count and Menu Changes:  A minimum forty-eight hour notice in advance of reservation date must be given for changes regarding the number of guests and/or menu selections. Attn: to Group Sales Manager ONLY via email, fax, or in person.
  • Private Room Charges:  Our lower level dining room (High Amana Room) may be reserved for groups of 20 or more. The fee is $200 for two hours. Additional time must be arranged in advance at the rate of $100 per hour. Room fees are due at the time the room is reserved and are non-refundable. Our lower level is not handicapped accessible.
  • Tipping: The tip is not included in our banquet pricing.  A tip in the range of 18-22% is customary.


  • COMPS - For motor coach tour groups of 20 or more paid meals, one tour director and one motor coach driver per coach will be provided with complimentary meal service.
  • Tour Guide Waiting Charge – If your group is running late, please notify us as soon as possible as we may be able to reschedule the guide.  Additional guide time resulting from late arrival will be charged at $25.00 per hour. 



Please notify our Group Sales Manager in advance of any special needs such as guests who cannot use stairs, and/or use wheelchairs, electric carts, walkers, hi-chairs, booster chairs, baby car seat/carriers, and/or have dietary restrictions.



If your organization is exempt from sales tax, you must provide us with a copy of your Iowa Sales Tax Exemption Certificate with your tax ID number BEFORE your reservation date. Income tax exemption is not the same as sales tax exemption.



We accept cash, Ox Yoke Gift Cards, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express Cards. Payment is due at the time of service. Groups who wish to request invoicing must be approved in advance of the reservation.
